DAy 7 was a HUGE success for me! I was up really late last night and ended up sleeping in until 11am! I honestly can't tell you that last time I have slept in that late. I was fighting a cold most of last week and I think the extra sleep really helped take care of whatever bugs were still in me : )
My sister came over around noon and because it was so nice outside we decided to go on a run! 4 miles in 40 minutes! Not too bad for a sunday! Because I had slept in so late I was a little worried about fitting in all 6 meals in such a short amount of time. So when we got back from the run I have half and apple and then some almonds. The plan was to shower... get ready, head to my parents house for the day and then over to my grandmas for family dinner. I knew I probably wasnt going to be able to eat much at dinner, so Kayla and I decided to hit up whole foods. We bought ground chicken breast, onions, green peppers, mushrooms and garlic! When we got to my parents we chopped up the veggies and mixed them in with the meat to make chicken burgers. We brought them over to family dinner, and my dad grilled them up for us along with their steak and potatoes. SO SO glad I did this. The chicken burgers were GREAT.. and because I brought something I could actually eat I didn't feel left out or deprived.
Really a huge part of being successful on this cleanse is making sure you are prepared for every situation. I packed my snacks before I left, and already had a plan for dinner before I had even had lunch! It turned out to be a great day!
