Day 9
So day 9 was not my best day! I was not prepared in the moring and it really made the whole day extreemly hard! I ran out of my go-to pre measured bag of almonds, and thought that I would be able to make a break happen around 11 or so. Boy was I wrong! I sat in a meeting from 10am to just after noon and I was starving. When we got out my boss sugessted we go and have lunch!
So... I skipped a snack! This really did affect the rest of the day. At lunch I was so hungry that I ate everything and ate it so fast! I ordered grilled chicken and veggies and sweet potoates. It was a good lunch but I left really full and not feeling like I normally do after lunch. Around 3pm we stopped at starbucks and I grabbed a fruit bowl and an almond pack! I ate half of both, becuase they are much more than one serving!
For dinner we went to Purples in bellevue! Another one of my FAVORITE places to go! I orderd the turkey sandwhich with no bread ( Kinda a weird request) and then instead of fries I did aspereagus! It was pretty good! When the other i was with ordered dessert I asked for decalf black tea! Dont be afraid to order this, tea usually coasts about $2, but it is well worth it, if it keeps you full while others are indulging in dessert!
Day 10 will be much more smooth! I have 14 days left, and I am feeling good, but not seeing as many results and I would like!

Day 8
OHHH.... work!! So my boss came into town today! Good for my business.. not so good for my cleanse! Thankfully I had enough will power to get through the day! For lunch we went to Anthonys Homeport. I was able to order a Salmon Filet with no butter or oil, and grilled veggies. The peice of salmon was definitly a bigger portion than I could eat, so I split it on half and placed one half on my "un-used" bread plate!
Thankfully I packed my snacks in the morning cause around 3pm I got hungry and was able to pull out my almonds and an apple from my bag.
Dinner was a little bit more difficult. We went to John Howie Steak House in bellevue! One of my FAVORITE restaraunts. The menu wasnt very ADVO friendly, but I was able to make do. I ordered the steak salad but subsituted for chicken and had no dressing or blue cheese. The salad had mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and shallots. If your thinking wow this sounds bland.. your right! It was, but I was able to eat enough chicken to feel full and I think that is how I survived.
I think what I have learned from eating out so much for work, is at places that you LOVE, dont bother opening the menu. IF you do, you're going to feel tempted to order what you love! With that said, have a plan! Check out the menu before hand and see what things are advo friendly, so when you get there you already know what you can have! Just a tip.
My boss asked me today.. where do you get your will power! What makes you not order a burger and fries! I realized when I was talking to him that when I think of those foods.. I think of what I would look like in a bathing suit! I'm already uncomfortable and insecure! EAting that burger and fries.. well Its only going to make things worsE. Think about end results! Picture yourself being happy and secure in your body when you make emotional decisions about food!

Day 7
DAy 7 was a HUGE success for me! I was up really late last night and ended up sleeping in until 11am! I honestly can't tell you that last time I have slept in that late. I was fighting a cold most of last week and I think the extra sleep really helped take care of whatever bugs were still in me : )
My sister came over around noon and because it was so nice outside we decided to go on a run! 4 miles in 40 minutes! Not too bad for a sunday! Because I had slept in so late I was a little worried about fitting in all 6 meals in such a short amount of time. So when we got back from the run I have half and apple and then some almonds. The plan was to shower... get ready, head to my parents house for the day and then over to my grandmas for family dinner. I knew I probably wasnt going to be able to eat much at dinner, so Kayla and I decided to hit up whole foods. We bought ground chicken breast, onions, green peppers, mushrooms and garlic! When we got to my parents we chopped up the veggies and mixed them in with the meat to make chicken burgers. We brought them over to family dinner, and my dad grilled them up for us along with their steak and potatoes. SO SO glad I did this. The chicken burgers were GREAT.. and because I brought something I could actually eat I didn't feel left out or deprived.
Really a huge part of being successful on this cleanse is making sure you are prepared for every situation. I packed my snacks before I left, and already had a plan for dinner before I had even had lunch! It turned out to be a great day!
Breakfast- Meal replacment shake
Snack- Almonds , 1/2 apple
Lunch- Jimmy Johns- Turkey Tom lettuce wrap with no mayo!!!
Snack- Raspberries and almonds
Dinner- Chicken Burgers and Grilled Veggies

Day 6
Low key saturday! I went to the gym with my sister this morning and did about an hour of cardio and then 15 minutes of abs! Thankfully at the gym I was able to get a small fruit plate and then order a hard boiled egg on the side on my way out! I ate the yolk as my fat.. and then picked around the fruit I couldn't have!
I had lunch around 1:30 today and did spinach, quinoa, ground turkey meat and salsa. My sister had some too and loved it! Around 4pm I had a snack of almonds and an apple. Dinner came a little later.. around 7pm and I had an egg white omelette with tons of veggies and salsa.

Although today was low key.. it was kind of a hard day. I wasnt super inspired today.. and it is the first time on this cleanse that I felt discouraged. I think I had a lot of free time today to think, and I let myself get negative. I think as soon as I get negative I start craving the bad foods. I noticed myself thinking.. man I could really use a snack right now! and I really wasn't even hungry. Instead of opening the pantry I made a cup of tea.. or drank a HUGE glass of water. It actually helped! It really filled me up. I've also started reading peoples blogs and tagging pictures on pinterest! THis helps me stay focused on my goals.
Day 5
Well.. DAy 5 was difficult! I worked from my house most of the day so I prepped my meals and did all that fun stuff! But the problems came later on! My friend Jen had invited me to her daughter birthday.. dinner and a movie.
First we went to see Brave.. I packed almonds and fresh rasberries because the movie was at 4pm and thats usuallly when I eat my afternoon snack! They chomped on Receces and Gummy Bears... it was the first time ALL week that I wanted something I couldn't have! After the movie we went to Earls. Earls is my go to Friday night restaraunt! Lots of fun people.. great food... overall good vibe!
My usual order- Burger no bun, no cheese, add avacado- and yes I eat the fries!
Last nights order- Blackened Chicken Breast with a side of asperagus- and an ice tea!
The girls had cheeseburgers and fries and soda! IT pretty much made my dinner suck! But I kept telling myself.. remember that bathing suit you posted. Cheeseburgers aren't going to get you there!
After dinner we went back to their house and the girls put on a movie and scooped big bowls of ice cream! I immediatly made myself some decaf tea! That seemed to do the trick! I headed home around 10pm and just as I was walking into my door my neighbors came out and invited me in to play this game! I should have said " no", I was tired and cranky, but instead I caved! The game was so fun- I stayed over till 2am! While we were playing though they were drinking wine and beer, I stuck to my water. Around 1am though my stomach was roaring and I was really hungry. My last meal was at 6pm, so I decided to add another snack, banana and peanut butter! ( probably wasnt the best snack I could have had, but i needed something sweet)
Overall it was hard night! Now I am just stressing about today! Jen and I are going out to a bar for a friends birthday- obviously there is NO ALCOHOL on this cleanse, so what I should be doing is staying home and laying low! But the plan is to chug that water all night!
Breakfast- Shake
Snack- Banana and Almonds
Lunch- Mushroom with Ground Turkey and Salsa and Grilled Veggies
Snack- Almond and Rasberries
Dinner- Blackned Chicken and Asperagus
Snack- Banana and PB
Weight-169

Day 4
I apoligize I forgot to post last night! I had some friends over to watch a movie and then got to bed so late I figured I could just post in the morning!
Over all it was a Good day! Yesterday I made working out a priority. I went to this place MaXimum SPorts conditioning from 10-12 and got my but kicked! But afterwardsI felt great, I feel like my body is really tightninig up! Eating today was good also. I miss my morning snack for the first time and I definitly felt it later on in the day. I reccomend NOT missing that snack!
Breakfast- Meal Replacment Shake
10-12- Workout
12:45- Chipotole- This was my first time eating out on the cleanse. I has a salad with a little bit of black beans, chicken, added veggies and then green salsa. Very good.. but I kept thinking it tasted really salty. Probabaly becuase I havent had salt all week!
3- Banana and PB
6- Portabella Mushroom stuffed with ground turky that we cooked with green peppers, celery, onion and garlic! This was really good. It was also something that I would eat outstide of the Cleanse.
THat reminds me, Jen and I looked through a paleo cook book. There are a alot of recipes that with one or two subsitutions, can be advo friendly. I defintily reccomend checking it out!
Anyways good day!!! Ill post again tonight with how FRiday (TODAY) goes, and also add my weight in!

Day 3
Today was tough! I was constantly in situations where I was being asked if I wanted a Latte... Margarita or glass of wine. Its not that I even wanted them, it was more feeling left out because I " couldn't" have them. After a while though, saying no felt good.. and I really think that it helped with my overall will power.
I said this yesterday, but again I feel like I am eating all the time. Today was the first day that I was out in my car.. making sales calls, since I have started the cleanse. I had meetings at 9 , 10 , 11 and 11:30. Knowing what my schedule was really helped me plan my snacks.
Breakfast- Meal replacement shake.
Snack- Almonds( Pre-meausred in baggy), and rasberries.
30 Minutes before lunch- Sparks and Catalyst- I knew I was going to make lunch at home so I packed and extra water bottle and drank my sparks on my way home!
Lunch- Turkey, Quinoa, mushrooms, egg whites.
Snack- Almonds and Banana
Dinner- Seasoned Ground Chicken, Green Salsa, and Veggies ( LoTS of Veggies)
I said yesterday that I get cravings at night- so tonight I decided to have some decaf tea. I think I may have to add this into my routine. The tea was calming and filling, I forgot all about being hungry.
Overall Day 3 was pretty good. I also decided today that I am not going to weigh in again until day 5! I was using it originally as a tool to hold myself accountable, but now I have gone 3 days with out CHEATING once, and feel good. I know that these next two days will go smooth and I would love to have a big loss on friday to keep me inspired over the weekend!
Anyways.. more to come : )

DaY 2
Another easy day... I am really surprised at how smooth these first two days have been. I did however have my first night craving!! I am one of those people that starts to crave chocolate or something sweet around 8pm. Instead of diving into the freezer for ice cream... I decided to walk down to my neighbors and hangout. I knew if I stayed in my kitchen I would be sooo tempted to grab something to eat! It ended up being a great alternative!
For lunch I had this turkey, spinach, salsa, quinoa mixture. I put all the ingredients in a pan with 0 calorie cooking spray and sautéed it! It turned out really good.. and again ended up being a great meal.
For my second snack I did the banana and pb thing and loved that! Around 4pm I went to the gym and did 45 minutes of cardio. Today was my first day working out on the diet and some people asked me if I felt like I had less energy or anything like. But I actually feel really good... no bloating and no tummy aches today!
Day 2 was another success.

DAY 1
So today was actually really easy!! I decided this morning the best way to get every meal in at the correct time would be to set reminders on my phone! This helped me stay on track all day. I also felt like I ate ALL day long!
I started off with the fiber 10 drink! honestly it was probably the hardest part of the day! It tasted awful, but It definitely did the trick( If you know what I mean!) The sparks energy drink was probably the best part of the morning. I felt just like I had drank my morning latte, except I didn't feel bloated. For breakfast I had the chocolate meal replacement shakes. It wasn't great. I think I put too much water in and not enough ice. Will see how tomorrows shake turns out. For my first snack I had an apple with peanut butter. Lunch I did tuna, brown rice, spinach and salsa all mixed up. It seems like a weird mixture as I was making it, but ended up being really good and really tasty. I was surprised when I combined them all how much food it actually was.
I knew I was going to be eating a late dinner so I saved my last snack for around 4pm. Around 2pm though I got hungry so I microwaved some asparagus and that did the trick. When 4 rolled around, I was ready for my next snack. I did a small banana cut up and then 1 tbsp peanut butter in a bowl and microwaved for 30 seconds. This tasted like a desert mid day. It was exactly what I needed.
For dinner Jen and I went to whole foods. They had these fresh chicken burgers with garlic, so we grilled them up and tons of sauteed veggies with them. Obviously we used the 0 calorie cooking spray. I was so full off the chicken burger that I could barely eat all my veggies.
As far as controlling cravings and hunger, I didn't find it to be much of a problem today. I think tomorrow will be a different story though. Jen said she started to crave chocolate because it was sitting out at her work! Thankful I worked out of my house all day, so I didn't have any temptations! Oh yeah.. that reminds me! First thing this morning I cleaned out my fridge and pantry. I got rid of everything that I couldn't have. I knew if it was their I would eat it.. so I tossed it. I think knowing that the only thing I could snack on was veggies helped keep me in line all day.
Thats all for today! Keep your fingers crossed that tomorrow is smooth sailing!

Pre Advocare
Alright.. here is a little bit about me! I am a 23 year old girl from Kirkland Washington! I grew up in a wonderful family, ALL OF WHOM are SKINNY! I played sports all my life, and was in good physical shape.. but still struggled with my weight! I have done.. every diet in the book! and have been sucessful with a few of them. For the last 2 years I have maintained a pretty healthy weight of 156. I am 5"3, so this isnt an ideal weight for my height and body type, but it definitly didnt classify me as over weight.
I recently started in new job where I travel a ton! Since starting in March I have put on almost 20 pounds. I am truely miserable, and so uncomfortable in my skin. So, I have decided to make a change!!
Tomorrow will be my first day of the 24 DAY ADVOCARE challenge! This blog is going to be my journal through this whole process! With the help of my friend Jen, and the support of my family... I will make a transformation!
